World Youth Festival Assembly Kicks Off with Business Program in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

The World Youth Festival Assembly has commenced its business program, bringing together young leaders from around the globe to discuss pressing issues, share ideas, and develop projects aimed at promoting international youth cooperation. The event, scheduled from September 17 to 21 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, features seven thematic tracks, including media, education and science, sports, entrepreneurship, digitalization and IT, creative industries, and public administration.

 

 Participants attended the talk show "Media 2030: The Future of Content," exploring long-term trends in content development and the impact of digital technologies on public discourse. Experts Mikhail Zvinchuk and Grigory Azaryonok led a case study session on media collaboration, where young people developed an international media campaign to unite youth worldwide.


The talk show "The Soft Power of Youth" discussed how young people shape the future of their countries and influence global processes. Experts from Slovakia, South Ossetia, Mexico, and Russia shared insights on the role of culture, education, and digital technologies in youth empowerment.


 Participants learned from experienced experts, including George Galloway and Catherine Nakhabi Omanyo, on conducting negotiations and intergovernmental dialogue.


 The workshop "Faster! Higher! Stronger!" explored how sporting events drive social change and shape a positive image of territories.


Experts from the UAE, China, Ghana, and Brazil discussed digital sovereignty, focusing on strategies for achieving it at government, corporate, and private levels.


Participants learned how to launch their own projects, leveraging principles from big-time sports and producing merchandise at the Quokka merch store.


Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Grigory Gurov attended the event, participating in a pitch session where young leaders presented projects aimed at developing international youth cooperation and combating disinformation. Notable projects included , Carlo Di Martino (Italy): Scaling up the Summer Schools format and creating an International Content Center for unbiased coverage of life in Russia, Ayoub Souane (Morocco): Introducing a mentoring system for foreign students and implementing educational programs,Pedro Daher Simão (Brazil) and Rostislav Lussier (Czech Republic): Thematic blog tours around Russia to provide unbiased information, and  Kevin Pierre S. De Ridder (Belgium): Scaling up volunteer campaigns to restore monuments to Russian soldiers abroad.


The World Youth Festival Assembly is organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, co-organized by the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and operated by the World Youth Festival Directorate. The event has garnered support from various partners, including the Russian Music Union, JSC Russian Railways, and Phygital Games ¹.
