Ato Yanney Jnr. A Ghanaian filmmaker, has said that Ghana's film industry has immense potential, but funding remains a significant hurdle, hindering production and marketing efforts. To promote our cultural heritage and support local filmmakers, showcasing quality films made by Ghanaians at the various Ghana High Commissions and Consulates at official programs worldwide will not be a bad idea to kick-start that revival.

“We have a lot of educative films both by our predecessors and current group that have the qualities, and these organizations can be used as platforms to boost the industry which is currently not where it is supposed to be”.
This initiative would not only promote Ghanaian cinema but also provide a platform for filmmakers to reach global audiences, fostering cultural exchange and economic growth. By celebrating our vibrant film industry, we can:
- Showcase Ghana's rich cultural diversity and creativity
- Support local talent and entrepreneurship
- Enhance Ghana's global reputation and soft power
- Create new opportunities for collaboration and partnership
“We urge policymakers, industry stakeholders, and film enthusiasts to come together to support this initiative. By working together, we can unlock the full potential of Ghana's film industry and share our stories with the world."
