World Council of Rectors Proposed to Foster Global Cooperation

Heads of universities from different countries have called for the creation of a World Council of Rectors to promote international cooperation and address pressing issues in education. The proposal was made during the First World Public Assembly "New World of Conscious Unity" in Moscow, Russia.

Experts emphasized the need to prioritize education in shaping the future, with a focus on moral and ethical standards.

The use of artificial intelligence and other technologies was discussed, with an emphasis on ensuring that moral and ethical standards are maintained.
Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the World Peoples Assembly in his remarks stated "The future of a huge number of children on our planet is in your hands."
Adnan Badran, Former Prime Minister of Jordan also was quoted as saying that "Universities are our future in scientific research... We must return to education in order to sow the seeds of humanism and peace from early childhood."
Ali Nasser Muhammad, Former Yemeni President also did not mince words by saying "Peace can be realized only if there is justice, equality and consideration of the interests of all peoples."
Proposed World Council of Rectors is meant to foster global cooperation among universities and address pressing issues in education.
Enhanced collaboration, knowledge sharing, and joint research initiatives among member universities, are the expected outcomes from this laudable initiaitives.
The proposed World Council of Rectors aims to bring together university leaders to address common challenges and opportunities in education, promoting a more collaborative and peaceful world .
