WELCOME TO AFRICA is a new series that is about to hit our screens both on TV and social media channels across the world, and promises to be very educative and entertaining .
It is a project meant to uncover areas of Africa that are unknown to people out of Africa and in Africa , Showcasing Africa’s progress and evolution; socially , touristically , economic-wise and infrastructural-wise, as well as to connect all people of African descent in the diaspora to Africa.
Accra has been the starting point in the journey to uncover and showcase Africa; to which unique and popular areas in Accra have been captured in the interactive filming.
Some key regions in Ghana will also be covered, which would include the Central region, the Western region, the Volta region, as well as the Ashanti and Northern region.
Afterwards, the journey would extend to other African countries; starting with Ghana’s neighbouring countries. This information was made privy to us by Daniel Kusi- Appiah, who is the Executive producer of Danny Kusi Productions and the presenter of this yet to be aired series.
Daniel Kusi-Appiah is a UK based Lecturer/teacher who is an African enthusiast and knowledgable on “all things African”.
Daniel is on a journey to help change the predominantly negative narrative and perception of Africa to the world, to a positive one; through social media, as well as mainstream media.
Daniel is well traveled and socialised in both Europe and Africa. He is also fluent in both English and French (which are the two dominant global official languages); hence would be able to reach out to as many global audiences as possible.
Project is being co-produced by Gatlink Studios headed by Ato Yanney jnr, who happens to be the director . He is the son of late film pioneer Ato kwamina Yanney Snr, known for the film “His Majesty’s Sergeant.”
