The SHUM Forum, , currently taking  place in Kaliningrad Region, Russia, from August 12 to September 14  2025, offers a unique opportunity for Ghanaian youth to enhance their skills in media and journalism according to  Dr. Inga Koryagina , a highly respected educator and international development specialist.


This international event brings together 1,200 young professionals from Russia and abroad, providing a platform for networking, learning, and growth.

Programs for Ghanaian Youth


The SHUM Forum features four educational tracks ¹:


SHUM. The Media Center Focuses  on media teams in youth policy and education.


SHUM. Experiments in Media is designed for young media professionals aged 14-17 to develop their competencies.


SHUM. Professions   targets press secretaries, content creators, journalists, and media executives.


SHUM. Community  is  aimed at partners, experts, and participants in SHUM Center programs.


Eligibility and Registration


Ghanaian youth aged 18-35 can participate in the forum. Registration details are always available on the World Youth Festival Directorate platform, and   proficiency in Russian is required for participation ².


By attending the SHUM Forum, Ghanaian youth can gain valuable experience, build connections, and enhance their careers in media and journalism.


Dr. Inga Koryagina  has dedicated her career to fostering cooperation and understanding between nations. She is an Associate Professor at the Marketing Department of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and Director for International Development of the Russian-African Club at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
