First World Public Assembly, to feature National Sports venue in Russia

The First World Public Assembly will feature a National Sports venue, showcasing the potential of sports as a diplomatic and cultural tool. The Panel Session, supported by the Committee on National and Non-Olympic Sports of Russia, will explore the role of national sports in creating an integration model of international cooperation.
National sports have the power to unite cultures, strengthen ties between nations, and promote a healthy lifestyle. The World Nomad Games and the World Games of Indigenous Peoples are successful examples of popularizing ethnic sports and fostering international cooperation.
The panel session will feature expert speakers, including, Boris Grishin, President of the National Olympic Committee of Russia, Mariano Justino Marcos Terena, author of the World Games of the Indigenous Peoples of the World, Khan Khalil Ahmed, President of the UNESCO International Council for Traditional Sports and Games
The discussion will focus on successful practices of popularizing ethnic sports, including, the experience of hosting the World Nomad Games and the World Games of Indigenous Peoples, The role of national sports in promoting cultural exchange and international cooperation, the potential of sports as a tool for public diplomacy
The panel session aims to prepare recommendations for the final memorandum of the World Public Assembly, demonstrating the potential of national sports as a powerful tool for international cooperation and cultural exchange.
